The programme combines theory with hands-on practice, enabling participants to understand trauma dynamics and apply effective therapeutic interventions. Through practical sessions, participants will develop the skills needed to support trauma survivors and facilitate meaningful healing, often within a short period of focused intervention.
The workshop will be led by Fr. G. Tamil Selvam, OFM Cap., a Psychotherapist and Trauma Counsellor who received advanced professional training in trauma counselling in Canada (2010–2014) and has extensive experience in the field.
This programme is ideal for counsellors, psychologists, psychotherapists, social workers, healthcare professionals, educators, and anyone interested in developing advanced skills in trauma counselling. Participants will gain practical techniques and evidence-informed approaches to help individuals recover from trauma and build emotional resilience.
